So we all know Thanksgiving is right around the corner and some people might be stressing about cooking and all that good stuff. Well, there's no need to panic..

GAME PLAN
1. Create and personalize your own menu
2. Write down all what you need for the dishes
3. SHOP
4. ***IMPORTANT*** Leave the turkey out to thaw. You will need to season the turkey and let it marinate for 12 hours before you roast it.
5. Prep all the ingredients you need the night before.

MENU

Appetizer: French Onion Soup and Sour Dough Bread
Main: Herb Roasted Turkey with Lemon
Creamy Mashed Potatoes with Bacon Bits and Chives
Oven Roasted Root Vegetables
Sides: Gravy

Hey guys!!! i haven't blogged in a while..school is whats up..the past couple weeks were crazzzzyyyy...i just thank God that i have no major test coming up or else....hmmmm

No Pressure

Hi Guys!!!
Hope you day is going well so far? Okay, so everyone is getting married this year.What is happening?I know about 6 people getting married before the end of this year and early next year.Why can't they even wait for us to recover from one wedding before another one...haha.. Congratulations to all of them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The thing is that I love weddings, I love seeing people get married and in love and genuinely happy...I cry(well get teary-eyed) when i see people's wedding websites, their story,how they met, pictures,memories and all that wonderful stuff. Although am still young : D, i can't help but think about these things.I have started thinking about colors, dresses, engagement rings, decorations, flowers, music, season... but at the same time, its scary because you are going to be living with someone for the rest of your life and y'all know that until you live with someone you don't really know who they truly are... as in there are some things that will just surface...poor toilet manners, not replacing toilet paper, dirty socks, spilling stuff and not cleaning up after yourself....the list goes on and on...

Also,I think it is very important to be whole before you commit to spend the rest of your life with someone and am not talking about only being whole financially but emotionally, in your relationships with other people, domestically and most importantly, spiritually. I also don't think people should get married because there is pressure from family, friends and amebos...let us set a *reasonable* standard for ourselves and not settle for anything less cos i know people that say "Oh if he's not tall, dark and handsome, i can't be with him"... You yourself, do you measure up to the same standard you have set for another person. ~~~I sound like a marriage counselor~~~

So am sitting in class today, reading blogs on my phone and something came to me. Do you ever feel like you are going through the motion. School, home, school, home...The same ol' stuff...I need some excitement!!!!. I have a routine i go through every single day unconsciously and I don't want that anymore.

Who's going to watch the Vice-Presidential Debate tonight? I can't wait to laugh ; )

Hey Y'all,
How's everyone doing? Mehn school has been crazy-tests, quizzes and their brothers... sometimes i feel like i just cant seem to catch my breath... I need to be very efficient with school cos unlike most people i like to procrastinate school work-test until last minute.. like 2 or 3 days before my test. I dunno why i do this to myself every single time. I think i work best when i know i dont have any choice but to study. Am working on that...

So what have been doing- apart from school? Nothing really o! Spending time on youtube, stalking blogs,wedding websites... I get very excited when i discover a new wedding website....Thanks to Omosewa...I can fuel my addiction properly.

On to other things...Can someone pls explain this whole financial crisis thing? What is really happening?

Who has been watching Dancing with the Stars? I have to say am not totally impressed. I know it is still too soon to tell but i mean compared to other seasons ...the contestants then were very promising. The only person that is shining is Brook Burke...

Anyhoo....I have a test tommorrow. Need to finish studying. But first lemme comment on people's blog....hehehe

Launch your baffs

Remember those days when we used to "launch baffs"? Now when i look back, am like- is there any need for that..trying to show off?

Third term hols are over and it is almost time to get back to school in September and there is pressure to look like you went to jand or yankee even if you spent the whole holiday at one stupid lesson or at your village. So people like this, they will have started planning what they will launch on their first day at school...remember when momsie will say you should go to Bata shoes to get your school shoes and you will vex because you don't want to buy all those cotina shoes that look like cardboard.

Remember mocassin platforms, ankle socks, anklet(leg chain), designer pencil case, monostrap backpacks, Nike school bags, fancy water bottles, aluminum water bottles, gel pens and the lots...( u can add more if you like)

Remember the days of knap sack, fanny packs, dungarees, body hug, hipsters, Lycra skirt, lemon and orange outfits, black boots, plastic glasses, "aunty gimme cake dress", hot pants, half top, platform trainers from "collectibles", skirt suits

Remember these hairstyles: front and back, patewo, shuko, didi, front brush, side brush, calabar, two-step, thread, koroba, kolese(all back)

Remember when it was time to go to travel abroad, the classic outfit was Jeans trouser and jeans jacket with white trainers.

i have wanted a dog for a long time but i just haven't decided when and how to go about getting one. You see as a full-time student, there is really no time to balance everything talk less of taking care of a dog. I know it takes a lot of commitment and time and energy but i think am ready ;)

I grew up with a lot of animals in my house. My house was a small zoo. At one point we had about 6 dogs, plenty parrots and birds. I really love dogs but i have been scarred.
The funny thing is that i am scared of dogs now (cos of one experience that i had like this) or at least other peoples dogs cos you don't know if they are trained or not. You know that is why they are animals, they can decide to turn on you at any moment. It all started on one cold, rainy December afternoon/evening like this, my friend and i were coming back to my house and we decided to catch the bus. so as we were strolling down this road going to the bus stop, that is how out of no where one "mara" dog like this came out and charged at us. Mehn see fear!!!This dog was a bull dog look-alike; showing all its teeth and all... Thank God for information that i had read somewhere that "Do not run away from an animal unless you know you can outrun it" becos....hmmm if it catches you, then na you know...

So when the thing came near me like this...My head was saying run, run, run but my legs were numb. There was no way i was going to outrun that dog at all. In my mind o ;) i like to think that am one sprinter like that but at that moment i was like "i don finish today". My friend on the other hand ran away and left me there, she ran; i guess that was the first thing that came to her mind. Funny enough the dog did not run after her o,it stood there charging at me and all i could do was put my Sonic Cranberry Drink if front of it cos that was the only form of barrier that i had to protect me from this terror. I wasnt thinking at this point. I think i blanked out some minutes because i didnt want to feel the pain of the dog bite. I thought the thing had either bitten my leg or something.

After what seemed like 20 mins, this dog turned back peacefully like nothing happened and went back through the crack that it escaped from. It did not bite me o.... If not the owners will know who is who today... I will collect one big money from them like that hehe!... they dont know anything yet... even if i wanted to shout for help, nobody will hear me because it was raining, dark,cold, isolated area. My friend was shouting from the front that i should run, run ke?

I kept looking over my shoulder till i got to a safe place, as soon as i got closer to the bus stop, see running, i ran like mad as if the dog was chasing me.. i just needed to get away from that area. See me thanking God that i still had my limbs complete and that i did not catch rabies in a foreign land...Abeg o

Lesson for today: Don't run, Be calm if you can

Now i have decided that i want a Maltese. They are so cute, cuddly, friendly and best of all they don't shed so i dont have to worry to much about getting lint rollers on a regular.

i think i want a brown one just cos the white ones look like cats...Am so so so terrified of cats as in seriously there was one day that i stayed in my car for solid 45 mins just cos a cat was near my door. There is nothing i did not do...I honked, flashed my lights, slammed my car door but this thing did not move o...abi are they deaf??? Finally sha the owner opened the door to let it in....

Other Random Whareva *In Ini Edo's voice* I was watching this Ghanian movie on online nigeria "Life and Living It". Mehn i was totally impressed. I did not know that Ghanian movies were sweet like this o. The actors were on point, production was great, fantastic script. You guys should check it out if you haven't already.

What happened?

I got my first comment...am excited!!!!!

Hey y'all.. how's everyone feeling today... Mehn today has been good kinda... so yesterday i went out and that is how as i was parking my car, i think an insect bit me or something like that. I just fashied it o and that is how i woke up this morning with my elbows and knees itching me like crazy...

I thought that maybe it was my bedsheets or something but i mean they are clean... i just changed it... so i just boned and had my bath and went about my normal routine... 1 hour later,this thing was still itching( my elbows and knees by this time were red).I am very light in complexion so it was very obvious something happened.

Ok so, am a very conscious eater..as in i take account of what i put in my body. Last night, i ate tilapia fish and normally am not a fish eater but you know, i have eaten tilapia fish before on many occasion...I also ate some pizza(normal toppings that i usually get) .

Fast forward to 5 hours later, the right side of my face was "one kain" like this...for the yoruba people.."Oju mi su".. i don't know the translation of that but my face was not smooth in short...I took some Piriton and slept. I woke up and my face is back to normal again... OPE O!!!!!!! hopefully it doesn't come back again o...

Am sitting here typing, but i still feel as if my knees are still itching or maybe its all in my head o... I dont know if i should take another dose of Piriton...

is it the insect or the tilapia? I didn't eat any thing new yesterday so i dont know why i should have allergies...or people is it the weather?
